Day 1: Arrival in Paro

  • Morning: Arrive at Paro International Airport. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your Bhutan Lhayul Tours and Travels representative and transferred to your hotel.

  • Afternoon: Visit the National Museum of Bhutan, housed in the historic Ta Dzong. Explore its exhibits showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage, art, and history.

  • Evening: Stroll through Paro town, visit local shops, and enjoy a traditional Bhutanese dinner at a local restaurant.

  • Overnight: Hotel in Paro.


Day 2: Paro – Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)

  • Morning: After breakfast, embark on a hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched on a cliff 3,120 meters above sea level. Enjoy breathtaking views and discover the monastery’s spiritual significance.

  • Afternoon: Return to Paro for lunch. Visit the Rinpung Dzong, a stunning fortress and monastery known for its intricate architecture and beautiful murals.

  • Evening: Attend a traditional Bhutanese cultural program featuring folk dances and music.

Day 3: Paro to Thimphu

  • Morning: After breakfast, drive to the capital city, Thimphu (approximately 1.5 hours). On the way, stop at Chhuzom, where three rivers converge.

  • Afternoon: Visit the Buddha Dordenma, a massive statue overlooking Thimphu. Explore the National Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in memory of the Third King of Bhutan.

Day 5: Thimphu to Punakha
