Sample 6-Day Bhutan Pickleball Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive in Paro & Travel to Thimphu

Welcome to Bhutan.

On arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be met by your guide and begin the scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital.

Depending on your arrival time, spend the afternoon exploring Thimphu and getting your first introduction to Bhutanese culture, architecture and everyday life.

Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 2 – Discover Thimphu & Play Pickleball

Explore some of Thimphu’s cultural highlights before heading to the pickleball court.

Enjoy your first dedicated pickleball session at Bebena Sports Center, our indoor sports facility in Thimphu.

Depending on availability, we can also arrange friendly games with members of Bhutan’s growing pickleball community.

Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 3 – Pickleball & Bhutanese Culture

Enjoy another pickleball session followed by more time discovering Thimphu.

Your sightseeing programme can include monasteries, traditional arts, local markets and other cultural attractions.

For groups interested in adding a wellness element to their journey, optional experiences such as meditation, yoga, massage or a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath can also be arranged.

Day 4 – Thimphu to Paro & Pickleball

After breakfast, travel back to the beautiful Paro Valley.

Explore some of Paro’s cultural and historical attractions and enjoy your third dedicated pickleball session.

The exact playing schedule can be adjusted according to your group’s preferences, court availability and overall itinerary.

Day 5 – Tiger’s Nest Monastery

Today is one of the highlights of your journey.

Hike to Taktsang Monastery, popularly known as Tiger’s Nest, one of Bhutan’s most sacred and recognised landmarks. The monastery sits dramatically on a cliff approximately 900 metres above the Paro Valley.

Your guide will accompany you throughout the hike and introduce you to the history, legends and spiritual significance of this extraordinary place.

Pony or horse services and porters can be arranged at an additional cost.

Day 6 – Departure from Bhutan

After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward flight.
